Social Work/Therapist, LMSW
Do you feel unheard or invisible? Do you find yourself feeling closed off from the world? Sometimes we need someone to confide in without feeling judged or dismissed. It can be nerve-racking to share how you truly feel and open up about your past experiences. I am a firm believer in the power of active listening and showing empathy and compassion to create a therapeutic environment you feel safe and heard in.
I use a collection of therapeutic approaches which includes a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness. I utilize these approaches to fully understand where you are coming from and to discover which therapeutic tools will benefit you. My goal is to validate your feelings, to look at all areas of your life without judgment and provide support through your life challenges. I am a LGBTQIA and gender identity affirming provider.
I have a background in working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjusting to life changes, grief and loss, caregiving/aging, relationship issues, and chronic illnesses with teens and adults. Together, we can identify your personal strengths and use them to work towards building coping skills, uplifting your self-esteem, and having strong communication in your relationships. Remember, you do not have to do this alone.
